Sectek Security is an independent security company based in Whanganui. We install and look after security alarms, CCTV, access control, monitoring and gates for homes and businesses across New Zealand.
Ryan Wales, in electronic security since 2011.
Ryan started his career in Whanganui, installing security for homes and businesses. From there he joined a nationwide security company, installing and maintaining systems for banks, supermarkets and logistics companies.
His work then took him to Australia, managing security systems for global brands, including a well-known beverage company and a popular social networking platform. Back with a New Zealand security firm, he managed key clients, providing enterprise and technical support and remote management of corporate infrastructure.
In 2021 he started Sectek Security, with a simple aim: fair and honest service, and installs done properly so they keep working.
From one technician to sites across the country.

The same values we started with.
Sectek has grown a lot since 2021. How we work has not changed.
Fair service
Clear prices, no surprises, and the same care on a small home job as a large commercial site.
Honest advice
We tell you what you need and what you do not, even when that means a smaller job for us.
Workmanship that lasts
Neat cabling, labelled cabinets and systems tested properly before we leave.
We answer our own phones
When you call, you talk to someone who knows your site, not a call centre.
We work on all systems
Any brand, whoever installed it. We will service it, fix it or plan a sensible upgrade.
