Is wireless as secure as a wired alarm?
AJAX uses its own encrypted radio, detects jamming attempts and checks in with every device every few seconds. If a device goes quiet or is tampered with, you know about it straight away.
How long do the batteries last?
Up to 7 years on some devices, depending on the device and how busy it is. The app warns you well before a battery runs out, and we can replace them as part of a service.
What if the power or internet goes out?
The Hub has a backup battery, and most models can switch to the mobile network if the internet drops, so alerts keep getting through.
Will my pets set it off?
MotionProtect sensors have pet immunity. We set them up to suit the size of your pets and place them where they will not be fooled.
Can AJAX be monitored 24/7?
Yes. We can connect your AJAX system to a professional monitoring centre, so someone acts on an alarm even when you miss the alert.
