A few jobs we are proud of.

We put our name on every install, so every job gets finished properly. These three show the range of what we do: an off-grid farm, a fuel station group that grew from one site to eight, and access control running across the world.

Off-grid CCTV for a rural farm.

The challenge

The farm needed reliable CCTV and Wi-Fi for making and receiving phone calls, but had poor 4G coverage and no easy way to power equipment spread across a large, remote property.

What we installed

A fully self-sufficient network. Thermal cameras detect day and night, with PTZ cameras to zoom in on anything they pick up. Ubiquiti point-to-point links carry footage across the property, Starlink keeps the site online, and solar towers power every remote device with no trenching and no mains connection.

The result

Around-the-clock visibility over a site conventional camera systems could not reach, running on its own power, its own network and its own internet connection.

From one station to eight, Wairoa to Oamaru.

Where it started

A fuel station franchise operator running a BP site came to us with a single station to protect. No grand plan and no national contract, just one site looked after properly.

Where it has gone

As their business grew, so did the trust. Today we look after eight of their stations, including BP, Caltex and G.A.S, from Wairoa in the North Island to Oamaru in the South. When it came time to upgrade, they did not put it out to tender. They asked Ryan to upgrade every site personally.

What it means

Provide good service, listen, and grow with your clients. Do that consistently, and a first job becomes a relationship for life.

Access control · Worldwide

Worldwide access control on one platform.

The challenge

A client with sites around the world needed access control and alarms that could all be managed from one central server, so cards could be issued and managed anywhere, from one place.

What we installed

An integrated ICT Protege system, the New Zealand-made platform that combines access control and intruder alarm. Every site connects back to the client’s central server, so new cards, access changes and event reviews happen once, for everywhere.

The result

A reliable system the client runs from one screen across the globe, built on NZ-made hardware and installed the Sectek way.
